What a busy March

Oh my gosh, our March was crazy and fun. Let me catch you up.

We did a little exploring down in Dana point and got this fun one of Jake. We also sacrificed Paul's cell phone into the harbor, thank goodness for insurance.

We are still exploring our new surroundings and heard great things about Irvine Regional Park which happens to have a train. Of course we had to go.

He is just growing up too fast.

We had an impromptu block party for St. Patrick's Day. Can you guess why this is the only picture? There were Irish car bombs too.

We had a few special visitors this month. Teta Mary is always a favorite for the boys and me. Always full on endless energy and laughter, what is not to love?

The boys requested that Teta read stories and kicked me to the curb. Thanks for making the trip to see us Mare. Love you dearly and look forward to seeing you again soon.

So in our quest to learn our new surroundings, we learned that the local bowling alley has a killer deal on Friday nights for dinner and bowling. We had a blast with our neighbors and will definitely be returning soon.

So I left all my boys (Paul included) home for an hour unsupervised, and this is what I came home to...Captain Hook and a shirtless Peter Pan doing Russian dances on the trampoline.

Even though cookie monster looks a little sad here...He was all smiles when he got to wear this get up to the grocery store with his matching blue flip flops. It was not worth the battle to say no to the request.

We also had a little adventure to Huntington Beach for a morning of fun with dear friends. The boys had a blast.

Also this month, by dear cousin Tom turned 40. His beautiful wife threw a great surprise party for him. Thanks for the great time Shannon.

So ironic that his number on his coaching jersey is so very appropriate for the occasion.

The birthday Tom's. The party was on Tom's oldest son's, Tommy, birthday. Tommy was 3 when I moved to LA. Where does the time go?

As you can see, Pap came to visit. The real reason for his visit will be in another post, but here are some of the highlights from his week here. You see, he retired in January so this was our little celebration which started with lunch on Laguna Beach as a detour from the airport.

He helped Adam build this very cool Lego helicopter.

Our new community has an orchard of lemon and orange trees, so we had to make a trip.

And we celebrated my baby's 3rd birthday. This was the first party that I didn't make a thing. We had a taco cart there. Mr. Alex (who Jake called Mr. Taco) was my saving grace. He cooked everything and help clean up. My wonderful neighbor made the amazing blue cupcakes for the occasion as well. It was so nice being able to visit with our guests instead of being stuck in the kitchen.

The theme of the party was the color blue, Jake's favorite color. We asked the guests to wear blue...which they did. Jake LOVED it.

I didn't even know Paul snuck this picture in. My boys love giving kisses, and I will gladly continue to accept the loving, as I know the days are numbered on these.
