On Sunday, my mom (who is visiting from Texas for 3 weeks...Alleluia) and took the boys and walked a 5 K just for fun. And of course, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to take this picture. As you can see, Adam wanted nothing to do with it other checking out the cool Weinermobile. Mom and Jake got in the spirit of things, though, which made this picture wonderful.
However, Adam came through for me during the last 100 yards of the race. At mile 1 Adam said that we wanted to get out of the stroller and run. With 2 miles still to go, just didn't think that was the smartest idea as I may still be on the course. So I told him he could get out when we got close to the finish. He ran those last 100 yards with the policemen cheering him on and the biggest smile on his face. This the medal he got for being such a good competitor.
